General information on data processing
We process personal data only where this is necessary to provide our website, process your enquiries, carry out pre-contractual or contractual measures, or comply with legal obligations.
Where we obtain consent, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where processing is necessary for pre-contractual measures or the performance of a contract, it is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where we are legally required to process data, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. In other cases, processing may be based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Website access and server log files
When you access our website, technically necessary access data is processed so that the website can be displayed and the stability and security of the system can be maintained.
In particular, the following data may be processed: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and version, and the operating system used.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and functional provision of our website.
Log files are stored for a maximum of seven days. IP addresses are anonymised as part of log rotation. This data is not combined with other data sources.
Our website does not use cookies or web analytics tools. External services such as fonts, maps, videos, social media plugins or content delivery networks are not embedded.
Hosting
Our website is hosted by M2Soft GmbH. As part of hosting, M2Soft GmbH processes technically necessary access data, in particular the data generated in server log files when the website is accessed.
Processing serves the technical provision, security and stability of the website.
Contact form and email contact
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide in order to handle your enquiry.
The contact form may process in particular the following data: name, company or institution, address, email address, telephone number, product interest and message.
When the contact form is submitted, the IP address and time of submission are also stored. This data is used to support the security of the form and prevent misuse.
Depending on the content of your enquiry, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns pre-contractual measures or contractual relationships, or on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to process and respond to your enquiry.
Contact enquiries are stored until the enquiry has been fully processed. Longer storage takes place only where statutory retention periods apply or where further storage is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Forwarding enquiries to sales partners
If your enquiry relates to BCS-2, it may be forwarded to a sales partner responsible for the selected country. This allows your enquiry to be handled by an appropriate regional and specialist contact.
Only the data required to handle the enquiry is forwarded, in particular your contact details, information about your company or institution, and the content of your enquiry.
Depending on the content of the enquiry, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to have BCS-2 enquiries handled by a regionally responsible sales partner.
If, in individual cases, forwarding to a sales partner outside the EU or EEA is required, we will review the applicable data protection requirements in advance.
Applications by email
If you apply to us, we process the application data you send by email to karriere@imageware.de. This may include contact details, CV, certificates, cover letter and any further information you provide.
Processing is carried out for the purpose of conducting the application process and deciding whether to establish an employment relationship. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with applicable national employment law provisions.
Application data is deleted six months after completion of the application process unless statutory retention obligations apply, legal claims require longer storage, or you have expressly consented to longer retention.
Support requests and remote support
If you contact our support team, we process the information required to handle your request. This may include name, contact details, company or institution, customer number, licence number, product, version, error messages, technical information and the content of your request.
Processing is carried out to handle the support request and, where applicable, to fulfil existing support, maintenance or contractual relationships. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the handling of technical and specialist support requests.
Remote support takes place only by agreement with you and only if you actively enable the connection.
Support requests are stored for as long as necessary to handle the request, document the process, fulfil contractual obligations or comply with statutory retention periods.
Recipients of personal data
Within Imageware, access to personal data is limited to those departments or persons who need it to handle the relevant request or perform their tasks.
Personal data may also be transferred to service providers or partners where this is necessary for the respective purpose. This includes in particular M2Soft GmbH as hosting provider and, for BCS-2 enquiries, a sales partner responsible for the selected country.
Further disclosure takes place only if we are legally obliged to do so, if you have consented, or if another data protection legal basis applies.
Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention periods.
Server log files are stored for a maximum of seven days; IP addresses are anonymised during log rotation. Contact and support enquiries are stored until they have been fully processed, unless longer retention periods or legitimate reasons for further storage apply. Application data is deleted six months after completion of the application process.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you. You may also request the correction of inaccurate data, the deletion of your data or the restriction of processing.
Where the legal requirements are met, you also have the right to data portability. If we process personal data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object to the processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise your rights, you can contact datenschutz@imageware.de at any time.

Automated decision-making, including profiling, does not take place on our website.
