9. KeyMap
Kapitel hinzufügen

In the Keymaps tab, you can define so-called system values (variables with values), which can then be used in scripts instead of a constant value.

System values are used to create scripts and to use script values, e.g. to simplify the transfer target system through clarity and to reduce sources of error. Instead of the „real“ value which is output later, a system value is stored. If a value changes later on, only the system value and not the created scripts must be adjusted. The system values are mainly used for more complex scripts such as METS generation.

In contrast to the system values, the keymaps are workflow-specific and only apply to the workflow.

On the left side of the tab the list of defined system variables is displayed. The overview list displays all information entered for the variables

  • Selected: By checking variables, they are activated and are available for all workflows from now on.
  • Name: Name of the variable, this name will be used later in the scripts
  • Value: At this point the value of the variable is entered, which is later automatically set by the name in the script.
  • Description:
Optionally a short explanation of the system variable can be entered here.
