Comprehensive solutions for the digitization and preservation of cultural assets
ImageWare is the partner to a multitude of libraries, archives and the private industry. Since its foundation in 1995, the ImageWare software and system portfolio has been continuously expanded providing software solutions for the creation, administration and delivery of digitized media.
The workflow system MyBib eDoc® is the heart of these software solutions and has proven itself within numerous major projects. This system sets standards for mass-digitization processes, electronic document delivery systems and for catalogue enrichment projects.
Important components of the MyBib eDoc® workflow processes are the software solutions BCS-2® und C-3, also developed by ImageWare.
The software BCS-2® allows scan processes to be seamlessly integrated into MyBib eDoc® or other workflow processes. BCS-2® offers interfaces for overhead, flat-bed, rotary and microfilm scanners and has been installed ca. 3000 times worldwide.
C-3 is used for indexing journals and periodicals. Combined with BCS-2®, C-3 is a single-user solution, used with MyBib eDoc® it becomes a multi-user solution.
The newest member of the ImageWare software family is the "electronic reading room" - a presentation platform for digital copies and full-texts. A variety of authentication and authorization processes permit the user to legally access (text)books, journals, contracts, plans and other sensitive documents. The software was developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS).
With the ImageWare solutions accumulated information can be shared by libraries, institutes, industries and research throughout the world.
