Blind colors

Colors that are not or not completely recognized by a gray-level scanner. Example: an original with a red car on a green background will not be scanned properly if the color intensities of red and green have similar values, because both would be converted to the same gray level. With a color scanner the image can be scanned in color and then converted to gray levels.
This "duplex" process attains a much higher image quality.
