- Where do I find the serial number of my Bookeye®?
On the back of the scanner neck, just above the cable cutout.
- Where do I find the counter value of my Bookeye®?
On the back of the scanner neck, towards the top.
- Where do I find the firmware level of my Bookeye®?
Watch the display as you switch on the Bookeye®. The type and software version xx will be displayed.
- Where do I find on-line help?
In the BCS-2® Software, click "Help" - "Contents" or press the F1 function key. A web browser must be installed.
- The mains fuse blows when I switch on
Bookeye® draws a high surge current due to the lamps. If you have a 16 Amp fuse of type "H", replace it with a 16 Amp fuse of type "G" or "L2".
- There are stripes on the scan?
Check the connectors of the data cable and the cable itself for damage. The service cable should not be connected for normal operation.
- There are white spots in some places on the scans
Make sure the scanner is placed out of direct light from the sun or lamps.
- Who maintains the machine?
We maintain the machine. The casing should be cleaned with non-aggressive cleaning materials (household cleaning fluids, no disinfectants or alcohol).
- Can I connect a Bookeye® to a billing system?
Bookeye® can be directly connected to a billing system such as coin-slot or card-reader. The most elegant solution is software that we have developed, which bills scans, prints or CD-writing according to your process via a PC interface.
- Can I bill E-mails produced by Bookeye® with a billing system?
This can be done with special software that we have developed.
- Is there a mechanical rattling sound coming from the scanner head?
Please check whether, "User defined format" is displayed in your format setting. If this is the case, please select "Manual Panel".
- The image on the monitor is out of focus, but the printout from the file is correct?
Click the gray-level display icon in the menu bar.
