BCS-2®: PDF- and PDF/A-Modul
The PDF- and PDF/A Modules expand on BCS-2®'s functions by adding the possibility to generate PDF and PDF/A files from orders. PDF (Portable Document Format) is a very wide-spread, platform independent file format for displaying, exchanging and printing documents.
The PDF/A standard is a substandard of the PDF format and files generated in this format are especially suited for long-term archiving. The PDF and PDF/A modules seamlessly integrate themselves into an existing BCS-2® installation.
The PDF- or PDF/A generation in BCS-2® can take place while exporting orders (with the Ex-portSuite) or triggered for one or more target orders in the order list. Furthermore it is possible to generate a PDF or PDF/A file of the currently active order.
The modules therefore give BCS-2® the function to convert orders into the standard format for documents.
