GBV and BVB use MyBib eDoc® for association-independent document orders
Following the university center of North Rhine-Westphalia (HBZ), the Bavarian Library Association (BVB) is now the second association which has implemented the association-independent document order system of the GBV to provides copies and deliveries to clients. MyBib eDoc® has been delivering GBV document orders for the BVB since 2008.
The MyBib eDoc® solution by Bonn-based ImageWare Components GmbH is the centerpiece of the VZB Distributor. Complex processes can be controlled and carried out partially automated with this flexible workflow instrument.
Besides the Distributor solution, MyBib eDoc® offers standard transactions for catalogue enrichment (indexe and magazine capture), for campus delivery systems as well as scanning tools in the context of mass-digitization (e.g. BSB Google project).
The next step in May 2010 will be the additional VZG Distributor adjustment for association-internal document orders. This will close the last information gap and ensure a quick delivery for students.
