From digitization, over automatic image processing and indexing, up to the presentation in a protected area, the entire processing chain is presented.
The CeBIT presentation shows the digitization of documents with the "ScanRobot", a scanning robot by Treventus. This scan system, especially designed for mass digitization, can process up to 2,500 pages per hour. The scanned images are then imported into BCS-2 ®, the scan and capturing software developed by ImageWare. This is where OCR and indexing take place with the subsequent export of the data into the electronic reading room MyBib eRoom. The digital copies may only be read in this protected area.
