Tomorrow's Solutions for today's Libraries and Archives

As an inherent part of the Federal Bureau of Trade and Commerce's cooperative platform to present the latest innovations in technologies and services 'Made in Germany', ImageWare Components GmbH will join yet again the German Pavilion at CeBIT Asia 2003.

The country's main supplier of Document Imaging Solutions for applications in Libraries and Archives informs about the recent generation of Bookeye® planetary scanners for large documents up to A1, books and other bound originals. The overhead principle and functions such as auto-focus, the book-fold correction for the central binding and a special light source without ultraviolet or infrared emission make Bookeye® the ideal equipment to capture rare, precious and delicate originals and to preserve their original condition. The software solution BCS-2 and related applications round off the system by providing various means to process the images, to convert into digital formats and to distribute them to any location in the world.

'Asia is one of our core markets. China's accession to the WTO increases the commercial possibilities, but also intensifies the competition.', says Rüdiger Klepsch, CEO of ImageWare Components. 'The new Bookeye® generation features now the standard RJ45 interface with TCP/IP protocol to establish an easy installation routine, to enable a high data transfer rate at 100 Mbit and to extend the range of applications in local area networks and over the web.'

Together with Microform GmbH, ImageWare Components would like to set up a contact point for everyone at CeBIT Asia, who is looking for pooled competence and innovative technologies of today's and tomorrow's Document Imaging applications.
