The Bavarian State Library is the largest German supplier of data for EUROPEANA
Since the beginning of March the Bavarian State Library offers more than half a million digitized books over the Internet through their online-catalogue OPACplus and their digital collection, thus presenting the largest collection of digitized books in the German-speaking area.
Through the ongoing project in cooperation with Google which started in 2007,with the aim to digitize the copyright-free holdings of the Bavarian State library, pieces from the 17th up to the end of the 19th century, for example first editions from Goethe, Schiller and Kleist, which up to now could only be accessed in the rooms of the library, may be requested and searched over: www.digitale-sammlungen.de or https://opacplus.bsb-muenchen.de
